Pawn jockey

In his 20+ years of hosting late night talk shows, Conan O'Brien has amassed quite a collection of props from bits, as well as fan art sent to him. Conan figured it was about time he started making a bit of scratch off this junk so he took some of the pieces to a pawn shop. Check out his adventure there below:

While you never know what to expect when Conan goes on a "remote shoot", you can always guarantee it'll yield a lot of laughs. His most recent adventure, which had him taking a trip to the American Girl store was no different. Check it out.

Ya nerd?

It's yet another trailer for a returning midseason TV series. This time it's the season 2 trailer for the TBS reality series King of the Nerds. Season 1 was fun, but flawed. Let's hope some of those issues will be worked out and we can revel once again in all that is nerdly.

Top-rated late-night host Jay Leno may be in danger of losing his job. But his modestly rated former Tonight Show rival Conan O’Brien just got a renewal on TBS.

The cable network has renewed Conan through 2015, adding another year onto the show’s current deal (which originally expired in April of 2014).

Conan averages 906,000 viewers per episode. TBS points out the show averages a younger median age (38) than any late-night talk show. “When we invited Conan O’Brien to come to TBS, we knew he would bring with him a passionately loyal following of young adults,” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS. “Conan and his colleagues at Team Coco have gone far beyond that by making Conan the top late-night brand in the digital arena. We are proud to extend our relationship with Conan as he continues to forge the future of late night. I just wish we didn’t decide to tell him on April Fools’ Day.”

Thanks to The Big Bang Theory reruns as its lead-in, Conan has seen improved ratings on TBS the past few months. Whether buoyed by those numbers or just finally finding its creative groove, I've felt the show has consistently improved recently and has provided some great comedy moments.
