Charlie Wilson's War trailer

They finally released a trailer for one of the few films that intrigues me this holiday season. The film certainly has the pedigree and topical subject, but we'll have to wait a couple of months to see if it can deliver.

This does look interesting, something that might show Hanks' mature yet fun-loving side. I can't quite connect this role with anything else. It seems a clash of comedy and historical drama, though I rarely look at government as funny, more sad really. I tend to stay away from non-fiction, or even films loosely based on reality, especially since I get enough of it already. Movies like the Kingdom only work to make me feel less confident the human race can or even should survive. See what's happeneing? I can't even write about historical fiction. Anyway, I did some reading about Charlie Wilson. The real person seems much less interesting than Hanks seems in the preview. What's with the platinum blond hair on Roberts? Give me a break. Somebody needs to fire the Monroe addict in make-up. And please tell them to remember to bye the eyebrows next time.
