Pronk staying put

Hafner signs four year extension.

Knowing that Travis is now signed through 2012 makes me a very happy man. Now lets hope with this out of the way, he can return to his home run hitting self and help guarantee that the Tribe make it to the postseason.

You sign someone, and the Braves need to let some go. It's rarely remarked, but Chipper Jones causes as much harm as good to the team. We could purchase the contract of any other 3rd baseman for much less. Would you lose bat consistency? Yes, but you couldn't possibly hurt Chipper's average with runners on 1st. Yes, I'm talking average with runners on first. What a loser. Also, Andruw has worn out his welcome. If the jerk wants so much more money for his outfield performance, he should consider subtracting for his terrible show at the plate this year. I've give this performance an "Oy Shite" and a "This guy deserves a truth enima." Reality check, Braves. It's not the big earners that have gotten you so close to the Mets. People may come to see the big names, but it's the newcomers that actually shine.
